REVOLUTION GYMNASTS ARE GOLDEN AT EASTERN CANDIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS!

In the level 9 category, Annie Clarmo was crowned the Eastern Canadian vault champion this weekend. Annie also took the silver medal on bars and placed 3rd in the all around competition. Annie's strong showing also helped the level 9 team take gold in the team competition. Way to rock it Annie! 

In the Aspire 2 category, Katie Popplewell had a strong and consistent performance and took 5th in the all around in her very first Easterns. Katie also helped the Ontario Aspire 2 team earn gold in the team competition. Awesome job Katie! 

With that great finish, our provincial competitive season has come to an end for yet another year. We would like to congratulate all our athletes and coaches for the hard work and tremendous dedication they have shown this season towards the pursuit of excellence. Way to go team! As always you have made us #Revolutionproud

Pre-Competitve and Competitive Try-Outs are Coming

Are you interested in a Competitive or Pre-Competitive program for your child?

Revolution gymnastics is holding an open try-out on Sunday, April 24th.

TImes:
2:00 - 3:30 PM - 8 Years old and younger (2007+)
4:00 to 5:30 PM - 9+ Years old (2006 and under)

Sign up at the front desk to reserve your spot. Tryouts run for 1.5 hours, and children will be expected to stay for the full time.


Team Canada Earns Silver at Pacific Rims!

Team Canada earns silver!!!

Kirsten Peterman, with a super strong performance, earned a 10th place finish and was the 3rd ranking Canadian. Couldn't be prouder of you!

ONTARIO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WRAP UP

As this years provincial championships our athletes had some outstanding accomplishments. Take a peak at some of the highlights.

In level 9 Age 12
Annie Clarmo earned gold and was crowned the provincial bars champion!!! She also finished 9th overall to secure a berth to Eastern Canadian Championships. Way to go Annie!

In Aspire 2
Katie Popplewell earned the all around bronze medal and with that also earned a berth to represent team Ontario at Easterns. Awesome job Katie!

Maya Zonneveld earned the bronze medal on vault and was named alternate to the Easterns team. Way to go Maya.

In Aspire 1
Sparrow Stevens earned the title of provincial floor champion and earned a special award for floor. She also placed 4th on beam and finished 9th overall in her very first aspire competition. Amazing job Sparrow!

Ava Belsher was also competing in her 1st Aspire competition and earned 4th place on beam. Great effort Ava!

Successful Competition Weekend for Revolution's Invitational 12 Teams

Revolution's Invitational Teams competed at the All Star Invitational hosted last weekend in Brampton.
Sophia Ingalls competing in the Level 4 Age 10 category earned a bronze all around finish, she added a gold medal on bars, and bronze medals on beam and floor.

Also, in the Level 4 age 10 category was Emma Lauckner who finished 5th on vault & floor, 6th on bars, beam and 6th all around. Team mate Aurora Sported finished 7th on bars, beam and floor and 5th on bars.
Emma Voll also earned a bronze medal all around competing as a Level 6 12 year old. Emma also finished with a silver medal on vault, bronze medal on bars & floor and 5th on beam.

Jaden Gomes finished 4th on beam, 5th on bars, 6th on vault and 5th All Around as a Level 4- 11 year old.
Alexa Ingalls finished 4th on bars, 5th on beam,6th on vault, and 7th on floor and all around in the Level 4- 13 year old category. Team mate Olivia Paleshi finished 5th on beam and 7th on beam and bars.

Teammates Reece Weber & Kyra Nussey competed as Level 5- 11 year olds. Reece earned a bronze medal on beam, 5th on bars, 6th on vault and floor and all around. Kyra finished 4th on floor, and 5th on vault, bars and beam.

In the Level 5- 12 year old category was Audrey Parker who finished with 8th All Around, she also earned 7th on vault and 8th on beam.
Alia Hirsch competed as a Level 6- 13 year old earning a silver medal on beam, 5th on bars, and 5th All Around.

Revolution had 4 competitors in the Level 4- Age 9 Category. Cadence Andrews earned a silver medal on the floor, 5th on beam, and vault, and 6th on bars earning her 5th All Around. Sloane Carter finished 7th on floor and 8th on vault & bars. Maeve Roy finished 4th on bars, 6th on vault and beam and 7th All Around. Paris Siemens earned a silver medal on floor, 7th on vault, 4th on bars, 6th on beam and 5th All Around.

Sarah Rodriguez competed as a Level 3 Age 9 year old. She finished 6th on bars, 7th on floor and 8th on beam.
Julia Kamski competed as a Level 4- 8 year old. She had a great overall day!

Winning Weekend at Gymnix 2016

Congrats to our Sr. National Team member Kirsten Peterman and team Canada for taking the team silver medal at this years International Gymnix Competition. Proud of you Kirsten and great accomplishment ladies!!!
Revolution's Aspire 2 athletes Maya and Katie also had strong showings at the Gymnix Classic, both placing in the top 8 All Around and bringing home some medals and ribbons.

A weekend full of medals for Revolution's Jr. & Sr. Invitational 12 Athletes

Emma Voll finished won the Level 5 age 12 category. She won gold medals on all 4 events! Alia Hirsch finished 2nd Overall in the Level 5 age 13 category. Alia won a bronze medal on vault, and silver medals on bars, beam and floor.

Audrey Parker finished 2nd Overall in the Level 4 age 12 category.She earned a bronze medal on bars a silver medal on floor and finished 5th on beam and 7th on floor!

Kyra Nussey who competed in the Level 5 age 11 category earned a silver medal on the beam, and bronze medals on vault and bars and won silver medals on beam and overall! Also, competing in the Level 5 age 11 category was Reece Weber, she won a gold medal on beam, a silver medal on floor and finished 5th on bars and 4th on vault and overall!!

Jaden Gomes who had one of her best meets finished 3rd on beam, 5th on floor and 9th all around in the Level 4 age 11 category!

Alexa Ingalls won a bronze medal overall in the Level 4 Age 13 category. She added to her medal collection with a gold medal on bars, finished 6th on vault, 4th on beam, and 4th on floor! Also in the level 4 age 13 category, Olivia Paleshi earned a silver medal on bars, finished 7th on vault and beam, and 8th on floor and 8th overall!

Cadence Andrews competed as a Level 4 - 9 year old where she finished with a silver medal on vault and bars and finished 8th on beam, 7th on floor and 6th overall. Teammate, Maeve Roy finished 8th on vault, 4th on bars, 5th on beam and 7th all around!

Paris Siemens also competed in this category and earned 9th on vault, 6th on bars, 6th on beam, 8th on floor and 8th overall!!

We had three athletes competing in the Level 4 age 10 Category. Sophia Ingalls finished 8th on vault, won a bronze medal on bars, placed 6th on beam and floor and finished 6th overall.

Emma Lauckner finished 7th on vault, 9th on bars, 7th on beam, 9th on floor and 10th overall! Teammate Aurora Sportel finished 11th on vault and floor and 13th overall!!

Sarah Rodriguez competed in the Level 3 age 9 category where she finished 4th on vault, 10th on beam and floor and 11th overall!

Julia Kamski had a fantastic day going 4 for 4 competing level 3 skills! Julia upgraded all 4 events from last year!!

Way to go Ladies!!

Blenheim Provincial Qualifier

Congratulations to Revolution's Annie Clarmo and Maddie Cornies who competed in their second provincial qualifier this past weekend in Blenheim.

Maddie Cornies competed in the Level 8 age 12 category and earned a bronze medal on bars, 7th on Floor and 7th Overall!

Annie Clarmo competed in the Level 9 10-12 category,  Annie earned a gold medal on vault, and finished 5th on bars, 6th on beam, 4th on floor and 3rd Overall!

Sun and Fun in Florida

Revolution's level 6, 7 and 8 girls competed at the Sand Dollar Classic in Florida this weekend. Chilly weather aside, the girls enjoyed a fun and successful competition. This was the first International competition for several of the girls, and they took it all in stride. Congratulations to all!

Revolution Athletes Excel in Japan

Revolution's Sydney Townsend and Kirsten Peterman have enjoyed a successful assignment at the Toyota International Competition in Japan.

Both athletes enjoyed top ten finishes in this competition!

Sydney scored the top position of the Canadian athletes, placing seventh on the balance beam, eighth on floor, and tenth on bars.

Kirsten placed tenth on floor, and ninth on both vault and bars.

Burlington Aspire Meet

Congratulations to Maya and Katie who competed on December 4th in the Aspire 1 & 2 categories hosted by Burlington Gymnastics.

Both girls performed new skills, and won some medals!

Success at Revolution's First Provincial Qualifier!

Congratulations to Maddie C. and Annie C., who competed at their first provincial qualifier this past weekend in Windsor!

Maddie competed as a level 8 -12 year old - finishing 6th on bars with many new skills added to her program.

Annie competed as a level 9-12 year old. She won vault and finished 2nd Overall. Annie also competed many new skills!

Way to go girls - we can't wait to see what all you can accomplish this year!

Hard Work Pays Off for Kirsten Peterman

At Revolution, we are fortunate to have an outstanding team of talented gymnasts and coaches. Time and time again, their hard work and determination has paid off in successes both on the gymnastics stage and in life.
This past week, Kirsten Peterman officially accepted a full-ride scholarship to the University of Maryland. The University sent this video to show what’s in store for Kirsten when she begins this new stage in her life. Watch the video here!

Today, Revolution Senior National Team Member Kirsten Peterman officially signed and accepted a full ride scholarship to the University of Maryland! Kirsten will be joining the Terps in the fall of 2016!! Way to go Kirsten! We are all so proud of you!

Congratulations to Katie P. and Maya Z. for being selected to attend Gymnastics Canada's recent Aspire training camp in Montreal at the INS training facility. The girls worked hard under the leadership of Canada's top coaches, including our own Aaron Brokenshire. Way to go ladies!

World Championships Update

It's official; the journey to Rio 2016 has begun.

Congratulations to Team Canada and to our very own Sydney Townsend on their excellent placement in qualifying at this years World championships!!! Our girls team placed 7th in qualification which means not only do they advance to the team finals, they also officially qualified a full team to the upcoming Olympics next summer in Rio!!! What an amazing accomplishment!!!

As a rookie Senior team member, Sydney made excellent contributions to the scores with her vaults and floor routine.
