Dear Angela, Aaron and Competitive coaches,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for providing such a positive environment for our daughter Jorja-Paige. Since joining Revolution Gymnastics in February 2011 she has a love for the sport that is renewed and inspired. She is loving the challenge of the program, she strives to improve and is looking forward to starting her first year in competitions and travelling with the team. She enjoys the opportunity of training with the elite team members and each of these girls are fantastic role models and a true reflection of Revolution Gymnastics club.  

The coaching you provide is exceptional and creates confidence in Jorja-Paige in the gym and in every other aspect of her life. We are looking forward to routines for competition, and more so, we are looking forward to the continued smiles our daughter has when she talks about her gym and coaches and the new skills she is developing.

I love my job and the hours I spend at Revolution gymnastics club fly by. Sometimes it’s hard to believe I am paid to play games and teach gymnastics to kids. In a gymnastics class you are teaching children to use body parts and muscles they may not have been aware they had or could control. For every skill developed you first spot them through progressions until they can safely perform that skill on their own. When they complete that skill perfectly they are proud of themselves and should be! As a coach you are teaching as well as inspiring self-confidence in a child. The Revolution staff team is made up of people who have two main things in common; we love gymnastics and coaching kids. That is a great foundation for friendship so staff members regularly help each other and exchange ideas for how to teach skills differently. Aaron, Angela and the management staff have created a positive and safe environment for the staff and athletes at Revolution. Everyday they greet each staff member individually, provide safety training at staff meetings, send out updates through email and routinely provide positive feedback to all staff members. Today after a Tumble Tots class a two year old came up to me and without prompting said thank-you Beth and gave me a hug. What a wonderful way to end a shift!

College Work Placement Testimonial

This past winter I had the fortunate opportunity to do a 4-week field placement alongside Aaron Brokenshire at Revolution Gymnastics and Sports Centre. I am a second year Recreation and Leisure student at Conestoga College and was very excited to learn I would be working within a new, up and coming facility with individuals who were experts in the sport of gymnastics. While doing my placement at Revolution Gymnastics and Sports Centre, I was able to observe and take part in both the programming and management aspects of the centre. My tasks involved marketing, advertising, researching, customer service, as well as the everyday responsibilities to maintain the up keep of the gym. I was given certain tasks with the freedom to work independently, however Aaron was there when questions needed to be asked and was extremely supportive, positive and encouraging. This gave me the ability to be creative, improve time management and customer service skills plus experience real life situations that occur while in the field. Being at the centre was a terrific experience that I enjoyed a great deal. The staff was friendly, welcoming and always there to lend a hand. It was refreshing to be part of an energetic, positive and fun atmosphere that provided me with the knowledge and skills that I can now bring to new ventures.
